COBA Major Player of the Week - Chris Anderi
The COBA Major Zero K Bats Player of the Week is Chris Anderi of the Niagara Metros. Anderi, the veteran OF with the Metros, had a great week as he played in three games and went 8-for-14 (.571) with two doubles and six singles. He also scored five runs while collecting a pair of RBIs while adding an HBP and three stolen bases.
On the season, Anderi is now hitting .523 (23-for-44) with three doubles. He has also scored eight runs while collecting 10 RBIs. Congratulations to Chris Anderi; the COBA Major League Player of the Week

COBA Major Pitcher of the Week - Kevin Lucas
The COBA Major Sam Bat Pitcher of the week is Kevin Lucas of the Erindale Cardinals. Lucas, who was named the Pitcher of the Year for the OUA this past season, had a very good week. In his sole appearance of the week, he tossed an impressive six shutout innings in collecting a win at home. He allowed only two hits while walking one batter and striking out four.
For the season, Lucas now sits with a 2-0 record. In his 20 innings of work, he has allowed four runs (one earned) on seven hits good for a sparkling 0.45 ERA. He has walked 10 batters while striking out 16. Congratulations to Kevin Lucas; the COBA Major Pitcher of the Week.

COBA Major Team of the Week - Burlington Brants
The COBA Major Zingers Bats Team of the Week are the Burlington Brants. This is their first time winning this honor this year as the Brants went 3-0-1 in league play. They started off their week winning game one of a twibill 4-3 against Oakville before tying the second game 4-4. They followed that up with a tough 5-4 win at home against the Mississauga SW Twins and the ended their week with a 5-4 win on the road in Brampton.
After a sluggish start out of the gate, the Brants now sit at 5-7-1 on the season good for 2nd place in the Johnson Division currently. Congratulations to the Burlington Brants; the COBA Major Team of the Week.
